Colocan a Benjamín Mora como candidato para dirigir a Chivas
GUADALAJARA, Jal., 2 de enero de 2021.- Santiago Solari tomó este sábado las riendas del América y al ser presentado de forma oficial ante los medios de comunicación, advirtió su misión: hacer de las Águilas un equipo más grande de lo que es. El nuevo entrenador azulcrema asegura que le encanta la presión de un club de tales dimensiones y deseó que su equipo llegue a jugar tan bien como el de Leo Beenhakker, el otro técnico en la historia de la institución que antes estuvo en el banquillo del Real Madrid.
“Tenemos una gran ilusión por este año, este momento y este campeonato con América. Es un equipo histórico y sus objetivos van ligados a su historia: competir para ganar siempre. Me gustan los equipos protagonistas, solidarios, intensos, ganadores, que nunca se rinden y para lograr eso hay que trabajar mucho. Me he presentado con los jugadores y parte del cuerpo técnico. Todo muy bien, hay cosas por supuesto que pertenecen a la intimidad y no se las puedo contar”, dijo para comenzar su presentación.
“Lo de Santiago Baños el presidente representando al América ha sido un acercamiento muy profesional, transparente y eficaz, que refleja cómo funciona esta institución. No es difícil ilusionarse con un club de esta envergadura, no son sólo los objetivos, no sólo es competir para ganar, sino que debemos acompañar eso con valores que hacen grandes a las instituciones, como la humildad, agradecimiento, generosidad.
Intentaré poner mi granito de arena y mi experiencia para ayudar al América a ser un poquitito más grande”, prometió Santiago Solari.
“La presión nos encanta a los que nos gusta competir, no podemos vivir sin presión. Los jugadores de este club debe ser lo mismo para ellos. Es cuando los jugadores se crecen, cuando hay presión. El pasado hay que tenerlo siempre presente porque se aprende y más del pasado de una institución que tiene 35 títulos, me parece sumamente respetable. Siempre hacer lo mejor en el presente, enfocados en el futuro donde están los títulos que debemos conseguir y sobre todo también ver el futuro de los jugadores. Nunca perder de vista el pasado, trabajar en el presente y saber los objetivos que tenemos para el futuro”, señaló.
Santiago Solari es el segundo entrenador en la historia del América, que antes de llegar pasó por la banca del Real Madrid, un grande a nivel mundial. En los años ‘90, el holandés Leo Beenhakker hizo de las Águilas un equipo espectacular, no pudo terminar la temporada para luchar por el título, pero su futbol se quedó grabado en la mente de los aficionados. El nuevo estratega azulcrema quiere repetir esa historia.
“Qué bueno que me recuerdas, Beenhakker es un mito del futbol que supo adaptarse a Europa y México. Es un coloso cultural y refleja en el futbol toda esa diversidad y riqueza del país. Por eso es un futbol tan orgulloso, el futbol mexicano sabe lo que tiene, conoce su riqueza y su diversidad. Hay que adaptarse a la geografía, a jugar en la altura, en el llano, al clima, a los horarios, a los viajes largos. Ojalá podamos lograr junto al equipo un América tan bueno como aquel”, concluyó Santiago Solari.
