De acuerdo a un comunicado de prensa, Castillo Cervantes aseguró que la inversión que se está haciendo CONADE en el Centro Nacional de Desarrollo de Talentos Deportivos y Alto Rendimiento (CNAR), hará que tenga mejoras en las instalaciones y que sean aprovechadas por los deportistas mexicanos y de otros países.
También aseguró que en dos ciclos olímpicos, México puede estar entre los mejores países del mundo, si se sigue con el trabajo que ha realizado, teniendo como ejemplo Colombia y Australia.
El Comisionado del Deporte Nacional, reveló que está visitando los mejores Centros Deportivos para consolidar ideas para el CNAR buscando tener un mejor rendimiento en los atletas y que se vea reflejado en los medalleros mundiales.
Finalmente, detalló que entre las grandes modernizaciones y remodelaciones ya hechas al CNAR está la pista de atletismo y el pabellón de tiro deportivo y aseguró que se buscará trabaja para contar con canchas de futbol, béisbol, en el gimnasio del basquetbol y tecnología de punta como el carril de nado contracorriente además de renovar el auditorio para hacer pláticas motivacionales que impulsen a todos los involucrados con el deporte.
